Current Events For 12/06 thru 1/07

We have received 4 -5 inches of badly needed rain since Christmas. The oat fields are looking good. We still have a few quail, turkey, and hog hunts available for 2007, and people are starting to book for 2008. Y Bar Ranch's staff & family wishes everyone a Happy New Year.

This eleven point 155 b & c was taken on 12/31/06. A great shot was made by the hunter.

We had a Texas based quail hunting group. Many thanks goes out to this group.

We had a Texas based hog & deer combo group. A special thanks goes out to this group.

Don and I just want to thank you and your staff again for the great hunt. Roger and Becky went of their way to make this the best hunting experience Don and I have ever had. In one hour I saw more animals then I had in 18 years of hunting. The lodge is excellent and the food out-standing. I will recommend your facility to all my hunting friends.

We had a deer hunting group from Minnesota. The harvested some good deer, and some hogs.
Bellow is a picture of the 149 b & c eight pointer that they harvested. We had a good time with this father, son, and son in law. A special thanks goes out to this group.

On behalf of myself, my father and my son-in-law, please accept my thanks and appreciation for our December 2006 white tail deer and hog hunt. We had a great time and the guides, accommodations and food were exceptional. I have taken part in guided hunts all over the Country and while this was a different type of hunting I enjoyed it immensely. We are all looking forward to getting the meat and horns back to Minnesota so we can share the meat and brag about the rack to our friends and families. I will e-mail you our pictures (assuming they turn out) and if you have any pictures, could you e-mail them to me? Please feel free to use me as a reference for future hunters and prospective hunters. I hope to schedule another trophy hunt with you as soon as possible. In the meantime, best of luck to you, your family and everyone else at the Y-Bar ranch. If you are ever in Minnesota, give me a call and we can try to catch some Minnesota Walleye. Happy New Year!!
